20 second movie pitch - Get LENIN

As the German troops approach Moscow during the Russian offensive of World War II, encountering ever more determined resistance as they go, what if they could snatch the greatest and most heroic symbol of the Soviet Revolution, the body of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin? 20 second movie pitch - Nick

Come Christmas Eve, the Newson family is in deep mourning for the tragic event that took place exactly one year ago. In fact, the family has been torn apart by sorrow and guilt throughout the entire year, seemingly without hope of finding either a closure or a resolution. However, as David Newson reluctantly makes his way back to his house, that is no longer a home, from work on Christmas Eve, a sudden violent snow storm blows itself across his path, leading him to meet the powerful, enigmatic form of Nick, apparently a chance passer-by willing to be a Good Samaritan and help a stranded motorist. At it turns out, Nick is prepared to help the Newsons a great deal more than that. He is willing, in fact, to offer them redemption – but are they willing to accept his Christmas gift, and who exactly is he anyway?

Cue a whole series of misfortunes as Quinn is mistaken for a prostitute, has the whole world looking for her imaginary dog, and pretends to faint in the bakery section to meet the man of her dreams. And what does she have to show for all this trauma and hard work? Yep, a hapless collection of Mr. Wrong, Mr. Wrong and Mr. WRONG. 20 second movie pitch - The Prodigal Prophet

As a satire it is hard to beat. It is spell-binding, head-shakingly absurd, comic, caustic and tragic - a see-saw of hopes raised and hopes dashed. But it is not a satire; it is what really happened to Dylan Morrison, a fervent, credulous man in search of a Christian integrity worthy of his faith. Over the course of his journey, he experiences many strange and miraculous phenomena from speaking in tongues, to prophesies that come elliptically to pass, to collapsing in the presence of the Spirit. He loses one son and is saved by another. Redemption treads a winding path.

Based on the true story written by Dylan Morrison.
